"nausicaä of the valley of the wind" is a classic among japanese mangas. it tells the story of a princess, which loves insects and moves through different landscapes. strange and alien to us, these scenes exert an impressive effect due to their artificiality. there are no humans in these areas and it is not possible to survive there, since air is contaminated with miasma. only nausicaä wonders through this landscapes, along with all her organisms and plants. not only does she research these areas, she also transfers part of them within her own environment, identical to ours, but evanescently small. she collects seeds and seedling ... she plants them under other conditions, for instance into an atmosphere compatible to humans. she develops an artificial landscape, which can exist under new circumstances, therefore no longer being dangerous. nausicaä understands nature and landscape always as themselves, something in permanent change and discovers that she is also a part of these changes. she accepts strange, seemingly dangerous living creatures, discovers their beauty. she creates novelty based on knowledge. this work is dedicated to the manga and anime nausicaä.
