nach der natur

installation, animation by dirk holzberg
mdf plates, lacquered, various plastic materials
thickly constructed areas, urban parks, playgrounds, motorways, road city arteries, airplanes and their runways, high mountain
landscapes, grasslands: this is what anke göhring’s basic installation seems to represent. in reality this scene is nothing
more than a composition of doormats, laminate plates, green plastic webs, silver-grey tape, hoses, threads, photos. the
oscillation between reality and fiction provides the central allure of the piece. With meticulous accuracy the artist offers to
the observer a creative story en miniature. what is seen here is a disembodied flight over the precisely arranged coloured surfaces
making up the urban area. the sharp distinction between the greens and whites gives rise to a differentiated material aesthetic,
loaded with a characteristic semantic and breaking down the formula of concrete art, in order to transfer it to something close
to a representation.
